Every car has a towing capacity which should be shown on a specification sheet or in the vehicle handbook. The total weight of your trailer, including its load, must never exceed the towing capacity of the tow vehicle.
How much can my trailer carry?
Every trailer has a gross capacity which is listed on the VIN plate. The total weight of the trailer, including its load, must never exceed the gross capacity of the trailer. The unladen weights of our trailers are listed on price lists and brochures, however, they do not include the weight of any optional extras. So, if you are close to the gross capacity of the trailer or the tow vehicle it is best to weigh the trailer and/or its load to be sure that you aren’t overloaded.
